After extensive renovations of their home, including a major revamp of the outdoor area, these homeowners needed one last element to complete their backyard retreat. The deck area dedicated to housing the spa pool needed shelter from the rain and wind, along with increased privacy from the neighbours. The initial solution was a custom made screen at the end of the pool, backing onto the yard, but this only went part of the way to solving their issues. They now had privacy from the neighbours and shelter from the wind, but only on the one side and the rain showers and hot sun still affected them.
Their ultimate solution was the installation of a Bask opening and closing Louvre Roof, which has given them much needed flexibility for sheltering the pool. Now they can choose to close the roof to keep out rain showers, lower the drop down screen to cut out annoying winds, or open up the louvres to let the warmth and sunlight in. This has resulted in the pool now being used year round, in summer it becomes a shady shelter area under the closed louvre roof, which is perfect for a cooling dip out of the blazing heat.
Fixed to the back wall the finished Louvre roof blends in perfectly, adding intimacy to the outdoor area. Finished in a powder coat colour to match the weatherboards and preexisting privacy screen, the Bask Louvre roof has completed the outdoor area to a resort like finish that the homeowners are understandably thrilled with.
